| Oh you shiny shoes! |
I have had these shoes for about six years now. I adore their shiny patent leather perfection and their spiky heel. They are elegant and sexy - everything I would like to be! I have always wondered what to wear them with - maybe that little black dress hiding in the the back of my closet? Maybe a pair of skinny jeans and a cute top?
Wait. I don't own any skinny jeans.
And I have only worn these beauties to vacuum my living room.
Totally practical.
You can still see the remnants of the price tag on the heel.
It's time to go little shoes.
I guess it's like so many things in life - an image of perfection we have for ourselves that just doesn't ever live up to the hype. I mean really - where and in what lifetime did I think I was going to wear these suckers? I have no idea! They were pretty to look at but they sure as heck pinched the crap out of my toes!
So with a little sadness in my heart that these shoes never saw the light of day, I bid adieu to that tortoise shell patent (plastic) leather. I hope you find a fabulous home!
